About Sunset
Sunset is one of Davis County’s smallest cities, home to about 5,500 people. The town got its name back in 1916 when a group of local women looked west toward the Great Salt Lake and decided the sunsets were too beautiful not to name the place after them. Hill Air Force Base borders the city to the east, and most people here either work on base or commute down I-15 to Salt Lake or up to Ogden. It’s a tight-knit, no-fuss kind of community.
