Moving through the narrow, historic streets of the Marmalade District takes someone who actually knows these roads. We’ve been helping neighbors here pack up and move for over a decade, and honestly, every job teaches us something new about these old houses. Whether you’re just moving a few blocks over or need affordable long-distance movers to get you across the country, we handle your belongings the same way we’d handle our own. No rushing, no carelessness, no showing up unprepared. Just solid, reliable moving from people who live and work in this community.
Why Choose Us for Your Marmalade Move
These streets weren’t built with big moving trucks in mind. Tight corners, narrow driveways, and steep staircases in century-old homes. We’ve done enough moves here that our team at Best of Utah Moving & Storage knows exactly how to make it work. We’ve hauled couches down three flights of stairs, navigated around parked cars on Quince Street, and figured out how to protect both your furniture and those gorgeous original hardwood floors. Our 26-foot trucks carry everything we need to do the job right, and our crew knows how to use it all.
Residential Moving Services That Actually Work
Look, you’ve got a million things to worry about during a move. The last thing you need is to wonder if we’re going to scratch your dining room table or show up late. We pack carefully, we move efficiently, and we don’t treat your stuff like it’s disposable. That antique dresser your grandparents gave you? We wrap it properly. Is your kitchen full of dishes? We pack it so nothing breaks. We work hard, but we also smile while doing so. It’s the Utah way, and honestly, it just makes the day better for everyone.
Storage Solutions When You Need Them
Your lease ends next week, but your new place isn’t ready for three more. Happens all the time. Our temperature-controlled storage gives you somewhere safe to keep everything until you’re ready. We move it in, keep it secure, and bring it to your new place when the time’s right. Simple as that.
Transparent Pricing That Makes Sense
What we quote you is what you pay. Period. No surprises at the end, no hidden fees for stairs or weekend work. We tell you upfront what it costs because we’re not trying to trick anyone. Our whole crew speaks English fluently, so you’ll always know what’s going on with your move. If something changes, we talk about it. That’s just how we do business.
About Marmalade District
The Marmalade District sits just north of downtown Salt Lake City, and yeah, it’s actually named after fruit. The streets run alphabetically (Almond, Apricot, Quince), and the neighborhood is full of these amazing old Victorian homes with character you just don’t find in newer areas. It’s become really popular with young families and professionals who want to be close to downtown without actually being downtown. Great coffee shops, walkable streets, and that small neighborhood feel that’s hard to find anymore.
