What areas do you serve?

For local moves, our service area includes the entire Wasatch Front; from Brigham City to Santaquin to Kamas to Tooele. For long distance moves our service area includes long distance moves all over Utah as well as long distance moves across the country.

We are open 7:30am-7:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:30am-5:30pm on Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sundays.

We do work on weekends. In fact, Saturdays are our busiest day of the week by far. However, we are closed on Sundays.
We have been in business since 2013.
Yes, our founder and owner, Cameron Batty, started the company in 2013 in Sandy, UT and still operates the company today out of our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Do you do out of state moves?
Yes, we do! In fact, we specialize in long distance and cross country moves. We are not a broker, and we are licensed with the FMCSA. We have a ‘dedicated truck’ and ‘expedited delivery’ policy for each of our long distance moves to ensure your satisfaction and peace of mind. You can count on us to deliver when it comes to long distance moving to or from Utah.

Yes, we do offer storage. Not only do we offer storage, but we offer full service storage in a safe and secure facility. We have 24/7 surveillance and monitoring to ensure the highest level of security. Need a specific item out of your storage unit? No problem! We can have that item ready for you when you arrive or we can deliver it for you. Each item you store with us is tagged and inventoried for your convenience and peace of mind.

This is a very common question, and the answer is yes! We understand that packing can be a very difficult task. Our packers are trained professionals that know exactly how to pack up your delicate china and prized book collection. We careful pack and label each box so that unpacking is a breeze.
Yes, we are licensed and insured. We are a fully insured company with general liability, auto, and workers compensation insurance. Not only are we insured for moves in Utah, we also have the necessary insurance for any move across the United States. We believe in doing things the right away to give you the peace of mind you deserve.

All of our trucks are standard straight trucks with a 26 ft box. Each truck comes fully equipped with professional-grade furniture pads, plastic wrap, dollies, and straps to ensure the safety of all your belongings.

All of our movers go through a very thorough training process upon getting hired, and many of our movers have been with us for years. We are committed to providing excellent service each and every move. Perfection is the goal; excellence is the standard.

Large moves are our specialty. Although we do many smaller moves as well, the majority of our moves are large in size and scope. We have the equipment and capacity to ensure your large house or office is moved without any issue. Not only that but our movers are specifically trained to ensure large moves with lots of moving pieces go according to plan.

We do not hire day laborers. All of our workers are full time employees that are thoroughly vetted prior to employment. This allows us to maintain the highest level of quality and hold our team members to a very high standard of service.
We are not a broker, and we do not hire subcontractors. We only service moves that customers have booked directly with one of our moving consultants and we never sell your info to brokers or other moving companies.
We do not combine shipments or consolidate trucks with other customers’ belongings. This is a huge differentiator for us in the industry! Many other companies use this tactic, however, with Best of Utah Moving Company you count on having a dedicated truck throughout the entire move process. Not only this but we provide expedited delivery on every move; our teams will start the drive from your origin to your destination the day after loading. They will drive straight to your new home and keep you updated throughout the process (while abiding by federal driving regulations of course).
Not a problem! Unlike many moving companies in the state, we have the necessary policy limits in place to meet your building’s requirements. Our moving consultants handle large commercial moves on a regular basis and are happy to coordinate with you on needed requirements for your building.

How do I get an estimate?
Give us a call at (801) 871-5221 and a moving consultant would be happy to get you an estimate. You can also submit a quote form on our website and a member of our team will be in touch to arrange a time for a phone call to gather information and deliver an estimate

On average our schedule fills up about 1-2 weeks out. However, it is important to know that there are some days during peak season that we book 3-4 weeks in advance. We do occasionally have availability for last minute bookings, but the farther ahead you plan your move the better. This ensures that we can get you moved on your preferred move date.

Give us a call at (801) 871-5221 and a moving consultant would be happy to provide you with an estimate that includes pricing and availability as well as a specific move plan tailored to your needs. Upon receiving our quote, you would then pay a deposit and book your move over the phone. Once that deposit is paid over the phone, your move is booked!
Yes! We offer guaranteed move reservations. In order to guarantee your reservation you must 1) confirm availability with our team, and 2) pay a deposit. Paying this deposit guarantees your spot on our schedule and also guarantees we will show up on move day.
For local moves we charge by the hour depending on the number of movers and trucks needed for your move. Our hourly rates are billed on the quarter hour, or every 15 minutes. For long distance moves we also charge a travel fee that covers all travel to and from your origin and destination addresses. All pricing is established ahead of time and is guaranteed once a deposit is paid.
We charge a three hour minimum for labor time on all moves. Any travel time is charged in addition to the three hour labor minimum.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, Venmo, and cashiers checks. We do not accept American Express or personal checks.

On Move Day

Do you wrap furniture?
Yes we do. Our professional movers use high quality stretch wrap and professional grade moving blankets to protect all of your furniture. This is a key part of our ability to ensure your furniture is not damaged throughout the moving process.
There is no charge for stretch wrap. While other companies may charge $25-$50 per roll of stretch wrap, we charge $0.
We do. Each team is equipped with the tools necessary to do basic furniture disassembly and assembly.
It depends on the move, however, it is standard for our teams to take at least one break during full day moves. Any breaks are off the clock and you are not charged for this time.
We are happy to rearrange furniture for you and place your furniture exactly where you would like it, even if that means moving it multiple times to make it just right. Our priority is making your move as easy as possible.
Yes you can. Just inform your moving consultant when booking and we can add any additional stops for you at no additional cost.
